The Montana Luxury Condominiums
Pasadena, California
The landscape of The Montana Luxury Condominiums reflects Pasadena’s historic parkways, gardens, plazas and the natural environment of the Arroyo Seco and San Gabriel Mountains. The urban condominiums, existing office building and parking structure provide the site with two unique landscape opportunities: an east/west park and a north/south plaza.
Designed by Amy Korn, the landscape design draws its inspiration from Big Horn Sheep that still live in the San Gabriel Mountains. Outdoor rooms are formed by lush landscaping, organic hard scape materials and water features in the east/west park, while the north/south plaza opens to views and access of Pasadena City Hall. The berms, shapes and native materials weaving through the park and plaza connect the city’s network of pedestrian greenways and integrates public art designed by Gwynn Murrill to create a walkable community.
